    Product Story:

The Lounge Chair and ottoman are furnishings made of molded plywood and leather, designed for the furniture company. They are officially titled  Lounge and Ottoman and were released in 1956 after years of development by designers. It was the first chair that the  designed for a high-end market. Examples of these furnishings are part of the permanent collection of New York's Museum of Modern Art.

Aimed to develop furniture that could be mass-produced and affordable, with the exception of the Lounge Chair. This luxury item was inspired by the traditional English Club Chair. The Lounge Chair has become iconic with Modern style design, although when it was first made,  remarked in a letter to Charles that the chair looked "comfortable and un-designy". Charles's vision was for a chair with "the warm, receptive look of a well-used first baseman's mitt." The chair is composed of three curved plywood shells: the headrest, the backrest and the seat. In modern production, the shells are made up of five thin layers of plywood which are covered by a Brazilian rosewood veneer. The layers are glued together and shaped under heat and pressure. Earlier models are differentiated from newer models by the sets of rubber spacers between the aluminum spines and the wood panels first used in the earliest production models (and then hard plastic washers used in later versions) early first series versions of the chair used three screws to secure the armrests, second series models used two. In the earlier models, the zipper around the cushions may have been brown or black as well, and in newer models the zippers are black. The shells and the seat cushions are essentially the same shape, and composed of two curved forms interlocking to form a solid mass. The chair back and headrest are identical in proportion, as are the seat and the ottoman. Early ottomans had removable rubber slide on feet with metal glides.

Since its introduction, the chair has been in continuous production in America. Later, Vitra began producing the chair for the European market. It was licenced for a short period to Hille in the mid 1960s, but the licence was withdrawn due to quality issues also some slight changes to the original design - notably the cast base which was altered to be thinner. Immediately following its release, other furniture companies began to copy the chair's design. Some made direct copies, others were merely 'influenced' by the design. Most notably the former Plycraft Company issued dozens of chairs that were direct copies of or in-the-style-of the  670. Later Chinese and European companies began making direct copies. However, Vitra remain the only two companies to produce these chairs with the  name attached.

    Product Story:
The Egg Chair was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 for the Radisson SAS hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is perhaps the single-most recognizable icon of 20th century interior design, a typical Jacobsen style. More than 50 years after its design, the Egg Chair is still used in advertising, film and television as a symbol of sophisticated urbanism.
It is believed to be inspired by Eero Saarinen's "Womb chair", from which it borrows some traits.

Related to the Egg chairs is the Swan chair and, to some degree, many of Jacobsen's plywood chairs such as "7", the Ant, the Cigar, the Grand Prix-chair, the Pot, the Drop and the Giraffe. The Egg Chair(like the Swan) was also designed as a couch. While the Swan couch is still in production, only a handful of Egg couches have ever been made. A few were made for the Radisson Hotel, and a few years back, some were made as a "special edition" couch. The reason for the limited production of the Egg couch, besides the wish for exclusivity, is the difficulty involved in making it, plus a design flaw: the couch is too big to be covered by two entire cow-hides, which is only just possible with the Egg-chair. This leaves a very visible stitching down the middle of the couch. This problem can, however, be solved by making the upholstery in fabric rather than leather.

Our Egg Chair for sale is ideal for contemporary living or office spaces. Product Story:

The Pavilion chair is a chair designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich. It was originally designed for the German Pavilion, that country's entry for the International Exposition of 1929, which was hosted by Spain. It was first used in Villa Tugendhat, a masterpiece of Mies van der Rohe in the City of Brno (Czech Republic).

The frame was initially designed to be bolted together, but was redesigned in 1950 using stainless steel, which allowed the frame to be formed by a seamless piece of metal, giving it a smoother appearance. Bovine leather replaced the ivory-colored pigskin which was used for the original pieces.

The functional design and elements of it that were patented by Mies in Germany, Spain and the United States in the 1930s have since expired. The Pavilion chair was manufactured in the US and Europe in limited production from the 1930s to the 1950s. In 1953, six years after Reich's death, Mies ceded his rights and his name on the design to product, knowing that his design patents were expired. This collaboration then renewed popularity in the design.

Designer claims to be the current licensed manufacturer and holder of all trademark rights to the design. In 1965, Designer purchased the trademark rights from Drexel. In 2004, designer received trade dress rights to the design from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Despite these trademarks, a large replica market continues. Gordon International New York has continued to manufacture the designs since the 1970s, even after a court battle against designer in 2005.[citation needed] In 2011, another court battle erupted between Designer and RegencyShop.com; the outcome is pending. In 2013, RegencyShop.com filed a counter-suit against designer in Central District of California, Western Division alleging fraud on the USPTO regarding furniture designs.

Although many architects and furniture designers of the Bauhaus era were intent on providing well-designed homes and impeccably manufactured furnishings for the "common man," the Pavilion chair was an exception. It was designed for the Spanish Royalty to oversee the opening ceremonies of the exhibition and described by Time magazine as inhabiting "his sumptuous German pavilion." The form is thought to be extrapolated from Roman folding chairs known as the Curule chair – upholstered stools used by Roman aristocracy. And despite the industrial appearance the Pavilion chair requires much hand craftsmanship.

Since 1953 Inc has manufactured the chair. They make the frame in two different steel configurations, chrome and stainless. The chair is almost completely hand-laboured, and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's signature is stamped into each chair. Reproductions proliferate worldwide and are sold under different marketing names. In his 1981 book about modern architecture, From Bauhaus to Our House, Tom Wolfe mocked the Pavilion chair as "the Platonic ideal of chair", and wrote that, despite its high price, owning one had become a necessity for young architects: "When you saw the holy object on the sisal rug, you knew you were in a household where a fledgeling architect and his young wife had sacrificed everything to bring the symbol of the godly mission into their home."

    Product Story:

Eero Saarinen created the Womb Chair, originally known as the Wombat Chair in 1948. The Womb Chair's organic form is representative of the mid-century Scandinavian modernism style of furniture using synthetic materials to create inspired forms. He had three design principles ¨C Function, Structure and being part of the time. Eero Saarinen designed with the human body form in mind. A simple concept yes, but many Product Storys prefer aesthetics to functionality. In nearly every case, a piece of furniture that rises to become a classic has both striking artistic form as well as function.

    Product Story:
The triangle table is a piece of modernist furniture first produced in the mid-20th century. Introduced by Herman Miller in 1947, it was designed by Japaner. The Triangle coffee table comprises a wooden base composed of two identical curved wood pieces, and a heavy plate tempered glass top.

The triangle table, also known as triangle end table, was an evolution of a rosewood and triangle glass table designed in 1939 for A. Conger Goodyear, president of the Museum of Modern Art, in which way, some peopel may call it triangle Goodyear table. The design team at Herman Miller was so impressed by the table's use of biomorphism that they recruited designer to design a similar table with a freeform sculptural base and biomorphic glass top for use in both residential and office environments. The 1947 Herman Miller catalog described the coffee table as "sculpture-for-use" and "design for production". The base was carved from solid walnut, and consisted of two identical parts; when one part "is reversed and connected to the other by a pivot rod, a base appears which has a smoothly flowing form and an interest rarely found in furniture of any period." The shape of the two wooden supports produces a self-supporting and stable base, allowing the heavy plate glass top to be placed without the use of connectors.

The base of Triangle table was originally produced in walnut, birch, and cherry. The top was originally issued in ⅞″ plate glass. In 1965, the thickness of the top was reduced to ¾″, and its base height was raised, increasing the table's total height from 15″ to 15¾″.The table became one of Herman Miller's most iconic and successful designs. Production ceased in 1973, and the piece became an instant collectible. Herman Miller reissued it in 1980 in a limited edition of about 480 tables. The table was reintroduced again in 1984 for the "Herman Miller Classics" line, and has been in production ever since. As they are popular, triangle tables replica are also available at vitra, kardiel, DWR, etc.

Despite their status as modern classics, coffee tables' price is widely available and relatively affordable. This is at least partly due to the fact that they were in constant production from 1947 until 1973, returned to production in 1984, and have been produced ever since. And currently, the base of most Triangle coffee table is made of walnut. The most popular white table and black coffee tables. In addition, the table is very durable, and few have been lost over the years. The base can be dinged and scratched but almost never cracks or breaks. The glass tops are prone to chipping along the edges and scratching on the upper surface, but are so large and heavy they rarely break. The table can support a great weight without damage. Expect to pay $500 and up for an undamaged example, and $1,500 and up for an early version in birch. Only the 1947 original triangle cherry tables are truly rare collectibles. Triangle table for sale rarely shows up for sale except at high-end auctions. As a professional furniture manufacturer, we focus on serve 100% reproduction of original table.

    Product Story:

Design by George Nelson and Irving Harper, 1956. The playful Marshmallow Sofa is a landmark of modern design that's still turning heads and making people smile. The sofa originated from the discs that are its hallmark. The original George Nelson Marshmallow Sofa was conceptually designed in 1954. At the time, George Nelson was not working alone. The actual designer of the Marshmallow Sofa was Irving Harper, an employee of the George Nelson Group. George Nelson took credit. First production of the sofa began in 1956. The sofa ended production in 1961 with only 186 original pieces being produced. Some were available with cushions all the same color and some had multiple colored cushions.

As with many mid-century classics, the Marshmallow sofa gained in popularity as the years went by. It was featured in pop art publications and a variety of big screen pictures. By popular demand the Marshmallow sofa was re-introduced in the mid 1980's in the form of reproductions of the original design and continues to be made to this day. The Marshmallow sofa was designed in the "Atomistic" style, which explodes its parts into separate, brightly colored elements. In this case the elements are the cushions, which float on the frame, it is not only astonishing in its appearance, but also surprisingly comfortable.

    Product Story:
The Table was designed in 1950. In the late 1940s, Designer noted all the "fantastic things being made of wire". That fascination led designer to develop a mass-production technique for simultaneously welding wire rods. One result was that the wire-base table was introduced in 1950. Practical in so many milieus, the tables gave designer the perfect place to serve chanoyu, the traditional Japanese tea ceremony, to special guests, such as sculptor Isamu Noguchi and film star Charlie Chaplin. Today these lightweight, diminutive tables stand on their own, next to beds and chairs as an accompanying surface, or on top of each other in a convenient stack.

With a grand sense of adventure, Designers turned their curiosity and boundless enthusiasm into creations that established them as a truly great husband-and-wife design team. Their unique synergy led to a whole new look in furniture. Sleek, sophisticated, and beautifully simple. "

The wire-base tabletop consists of seven layers of Baltic birch plywood sandwiched between ash veneer and high-pressure laminate in black or white. They are beveled at 20 degrees, so the top's plies are visible. The base is available in a powder-coat white, black or zinc.

Nelson created over 150 iconic clocks and the Ball clock is the most recognized of his works.

Belief in progress and growing economic prosperity were central aspects of the American way of life around 1950. Everything seemed possible, and people strove to be 'modern'. With the aim of bringing modern design into American homes, George Nelson conceived a wide array of everyday objects: lamps, clocks and other domestic accessories. Up until the 1970s, the Nelson office created many different items for the home, including the 'Bubble Lamps' and the 'Ball Clock', which became icons of mid-century modern design.
The Wall Clocks are available in a diverse range of forms and materials. Equipped with high-quality quartz movements, they offer a refreshing alternative to conventional clocks. The perfect model can be found for every occasion among the wide selection of different designs.

    Product Story:

The comfortable sofa set series was originally designed in 1928 for the Maison La Roche house in Paris. The design is the modernist response to the traditional club chair. The series comes in a smaller version and a larger version known as the MLF modern stool considered more appropriate for practical living purposes. Remarkably comfortable, Designer  often referred to the pieces as "cushion baskets". A striking feature of the modern stool is the externalized metal frame supporting the base, extending as the legs and running the entire length of the piece. Its not just the front of the ottoman/stool that is attractive, the metal frame work means design detail from the sides and back allowing for easy placement even in the middle of a room. The MLF modern set is often used in a group of 2 chairs (1 seat version) and a single sofa or love (2 or 3 seat versions).

    Product Story:

The chair is a chair designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich.

The chair was manufactured in the US and Europe in limited production from the 1930s to the 1950s. In 1953, six years after Reich's death, Mies ceded his rights and his name on the design, knowing that his design patents were expired. This collaboration then renewed popularity in the design.

Desigener claims to be the current licensed manufacturer and holder of all trademark rights to the design.

Although many architects and furniture designers of the Bauhaus era were intent on providing well-designed homes and impeccably manufactured furnishings for the "common man," the chair was an exception. And despite the industrial appearance the chair requires much hand craftsmanship.

Since 1953 Knoll Inc has manufactured the chair. They make the frame in two different steel configurations, chrome and stainless. The chair is almost completely hand-laboured, and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's signature is stamped into each chair. Reproductions proliferate worldwide and are sold under different marketing names. In his 1981 book about modern architecture, From Bauhaus to Our House, Tom Wolfe mocked the chair as "the Platonic ideal of chair", and wrote that, despite its high price, owning one had become a necessity for young architects: "When you saw the holy object on the sisal rug, you knew you were in a household where a fledgeling architect and his young wife had sacrificed everything to bring the symbol of the godly mission into their home."

MLF chair is 100% reproduction chair of original. As they are very popular and classic, it is very tempting and inviting to people. And MLF chair knock off is on promotion now, that is free shipping. Buy NOW, bring classic home!
